據(jù)臺灣“聯(lián)合新聞網(wǎng)”12月14日報道稱，臺灣著名詩人，《鄉(xiāng)愁》作者余光中今日病逝。
報道稱，余光中日前已傳出疑似中風住院，肺部感染，后轉(zhuǎn)進加護病房住院檢查，14日傳出逝世消息。
今年10月，余光中慶祝90大壽（虛歲），當日他以歐陽修的絕句“再至汝陰”抒發(fā)心情，“黃栗留鳴桑椹美，紫櫻桃熟麥風涼。朱輪昔愧無遺愛，白首重來似故鄉(xiāng)”。
余光中，1928年出生于南京，祖籍福建永春。一生從事詩歌、散文、評論、翻譯，是當代詩壇健將、散文重鎮(zhèn)、著名批評家和優(yōu)秀翻譯家。多年來，余光中筆耕不輟，出版書籍逾60種。

作為一名翻譯家，“心有猛虎，細嗅薔薇”是余光中的經(jīng)典譯文之一。
“心有猛虎，細嗅薔薇”是英國詩人西格里夫·薩松代表作《于我，過去，現(xiàn)在以及未來 》的經(jīng)典詩句。原話是“In me the tiger sniffs the rose.”詩人余光中將其翻譯為：心有猛虎，細嗅薔薇。他自稱是“勉強翻譯”，但是這個翻譯漸漸成為經(jīng)典，甚至使有些人錯以為中文才是原文。全文如下↓
